Who doesn’t want to smell good? Yet so many people don’t, soap and water are cheap, there’s no excuse to smell bad in this day and age. People should all be showering or having a bath every day. Colognes and perfumes originally were designed to cover up the unwashed body smells, seems hard to believe, but it’s true. Perfume has been created for over 4000 years, so it has a lengthy history.
Perfume is a popular gift for a man to give his lady, but it’s a difficult gift to give someone unless you know what type they like, just because you like a scent does not mean they will like the same one for themselves. We all want to smell good for our lovers, and often a scent of someone will be a reminder of them for the rest of our lives. How many times have we caught whiff of a particular scent and instantly been reminded of someone or a place from our past? It’s been said scent holds a memory like nothing else.
Someone can smell fantastic and we not even be attracted to them, but the scent makes them instantly appealing. Some fragrances even have added pheromones that are sex attractants. We cannot smell them in and of themselves, but they are an odorless compound that we are attracted to that are added to some perfumes in the hopes of attracting someone of the opposite sex. People will always try and do things to attract sexual partners, and fragrance is certainly right up there.
